The Newbees Vol. 3

Our Biz Philosophies

Sustainability

Sustainability is a given in beekeeping, but for us it extends into every part of the business. We choose renewable materials like paper and glass for packaging whenever possible, working to reduce plastic waste and long-term pollution. The goal is simple: do right by the bees, the land, and the people we serve.

Down-to-Earth

If we don’t use it, we don’t sell it! We’re not a superstore- we’re beekeepers. Every product on our shelves has been chosen through experience in the yard, the kitchen, or the shop. No filler, no unnecessary inventory, and no shallow sales pitches- just trust.

Relationships, Not Transactions

We care deeply about the people who support us and the communities we’re part of. The dollar is a mere formality, not the sole focus! Building trust, sharing knowledge, and showing up for one another matters far more than a quick buck.

The Newbees: Volume 2

Inspiration is at the core of everything we do. It begins in the bee yard at OTHERWORLD Apiaries, where we care for roughly 50 hives and produce raw honey and hive goods.

That work is shared through The Newbees, our social media community focused on education, creativity, and life with bees- connecting with thousands of followers across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

It all comes together at The Newbee Store, our storefront and gathering space, where we offer hive products, beekeeping supplies, and thoughtfully made goods for bee lovers, tea drinkers, and the curious alike!

The Newbees: Volume 1

Amidst the uncertainty of 2020, we uncovered the magical world of apiculture. Our trio- Mikey, Xian, and Paxton- answered a call to help a local beekeeper, unaware of the threshold we crossed....

From one hive to grew many, and so did opportunities to gain more experience. We joined our local clubs, volunteered, found mentors, and learned beside everyone we could. Luckily, cutouts and removals became a part of the show- as we successfully removed dozens of wild hives, not only assisting property owners in saving the bees, but also preserving crucial survivor stock.

By recording our journey, we also began our social media presence, aimed at adding value to beekeepers and educating the public. In each moment, we listened and followed a simple philosophy: always keep learning!

Beekeeping is not just a pastime: it’s a lifestyle, an art, and a responsibility.
