Bee Beard for the WV Italian Heritage Festival 2025!
Charlie preparing nucs in the apiary.
First Bee Beard for West Minister College Beekeeping & Media Program!
Charlie Metz is the main operator of C&P Apiaries and a WV Master Beekeeper with over 20 years of experience. He maintains and manages the finest honeybees, providing high-quality local honey and nucleus hives so you can start/expand your own!
He is also known for “Charlie and the Amazing Beerding Ladies,” a traditional bee beard demonstration performed at events and festivals to showcase the gentleness of honey bees and educate audiences about pollination and bee behavior. Charlie learned the art of the bee beard from his mentor, Steve Conlon, who famously performed the demonstration on The Jay Leno Show, carrying forward a long-standing beekeeping tradition.
